Key Ideas

Reading text.

This week I have been reading a text called Kuri by Priscilla Wehi. Key Ideas in this text is that Kuri is EXTINCT. An example of this was that the Kuri's bones are discovered in the Pacific islands. Also, their owner eats them when they were hungry that is why theirs no kuri left.

Another key idea in the text is clothes. An example of this was that people made clothes with the Kuri's skin, they killed Kuris and the cut of their skin and they make clothes with it.

My Role Model

My Role Model
My dad and my uncle.

My role model is my dad. I chose this role model because his trustworthy, respectful and hardworking too. These are the three characteristics that describe my role model.

My first characteristic that describes my role model is hardworking. He's hardworking because he does what he can just to take care of us. I can see how he work hard for us because I can see how he challenge us for the future and that how a father cares about his children. For example, I can see how he work hard by being strong in going to work every day. He’s continuing doing his work but I wish I can help him now but I would like to do something to pay back his love and how he works hard for us.

My second characteristic is respectful. The reason why I chose these characteristic prefers to my role model because every time when we visit our oldest he always shows respect especially his parent and the main place that he shows respect to is the church and also his siblings. For example, he never said something back to his parents when his parent is angry at him and that show us how respectful he is and those are some example to me cause my attitude is not too good and I learn my attitude from him. By his respectful and his grateful attitude that will help me improve my attitude and show some respect to someone who’s older than and go easy on younger people.

My third characteristic is trustworthy. I chose this characteristic because I can see how people trust him and also I just in him. For example, in his work, my dad doesn’t want to bring the office car at home because he doesn’t want to do an accident with it but the supervisor just him and let him bring the car at our home. By trusting him and letting him feel that we can trust him that will make him feel free and let people count on him.

The reason why I chose these characteristic for my role model it’s because I can see this kind of skill in him every time and every day. These skills are so important to me because I need to follow them just like my dad. All of these important skills will help me in the future. I hope someday I will achieve these skills.

The meaning of the word History.

πŸ€”History meaning πŸ€”

Image result for history
Hello everyone, and today we need to discuss what a History is. In my mind and my thinking was that history is a word that gathers everything from the past or a word that reminds us of the past. I would like to share a story about Sina and the eel because this story is a Samoan History and is an example about the word "History" ( I don't want to tell the whole story but I will tell you what happen in the story), let get started. The eel was following Sina where ever she goes, but then Sina was too scared of how the eel following her then she went to the chiefs and tell them how the eel was following her, then the chiefs had a decision and they wanted to kill the eel. When they were finished killing the eel, the eel suddenly whispers to Sina he said that   "Sina, Can you do me a favor that if you just plant my head into the ground and if it growths then that reminds you of me". Sina was crying and feel sorry for the eel and she do what he said, and it grows and that is how the coconut made, the coconut is made of the eel's face.

That is the story of Sina and the eel I go further to explain just to make you understand what the word HISTORY is. The reason why I explain that story because I would like to make you understand more about the word History. Well, do you know what I did was that Sina and the eel is the story from the past and I know this story because my grandparents told me and whenever we drink the coconut it reminds us of the eel and how the chief punish him. That is the meaning of History in me.

I hope you understand the meaning of History.

My learning pathway.

My learning pathway for this year.

WALT; choose five goals for this year and when are you're going to achieve those goals.

This week we have been looking on five goals you had for this year and when are you going to achieve those goals. The activities we did is that we chose five best goals that you had for this year and draw it on the piece of artwork that Mis Aireen and Mr. Jay gave it to us. After that then we create a DLO and present why you choose this goal and how are you going to achieve these goals. What I learn from these activities was that if you try to achieve any goals you have to try your best to get to that goal and keep practicing how to get to the goal that you what to achieve. What I found challenging was drawing my goals on the piece of artwork.

So here is my learning pathway. Hope you enjoy.

Here is my work.

Hauora

Hauora
WALA- The 4 Walls

Today I make a metaphor that represents my Hauora I choose a Flag for my metaphor. I found this art task easy because I understand what hauora is and how to do it and also how to create a Hauora.
This is what I create for my hauora.

I represent the Taha Whanau for the Pole because they always stand up for me.

And I represent Taha Wairua for the red color because is the blood of Jesus.

And I represent Taha Tinana for the blue color because is the color of the sport.

And I represent Taha Hingerao for white color because it can relate to your emotion.

That is my hauora.
