My first day at school.

My first day at school

Talofa lava and welcome back to my blog. Today in my first day 

at school (Yeah, yeah changing school again) I feel so nervous and scared because you know how it feels when you first started at a new school,  you can feel this feeling of lonely having no friends and hardly talk to anyone. When I was walking to my class I was so nervous I just can't think of anything else but nervous but when I finally get to my class I wasn't even scared at all, that was strange. My teacher has to introduce herself to me it's like a opposite way cause I thought I am going to introduce myself to them but (nevermind). So everyone in the class started staring at me and they all look so happy because they had a new student which is me. 

When I saw that they all look happy at me i felt kind of confidence and a bit of shy. While I was at school I found some new friends the first one is Marylila and the other is Hannah it was hard making some new friends but the holy spirit help me find my friend. First day at school must also about making new friends you know, but anyways I glad that my friend is a Samoan finally I can talk to someone at school in Samoan.

Maths for this week.

Maths Assessment

Talofa lava and welcome back to my blog. This week the Kia Manawanui syndicate has been working so hard this week doing this Assessment Task but we were trying to make it done. What I know about this Task was to making sure we done it to the right time that our teacher would expect us to finish on. 

What I found challenging of doing this work was that if you still put what the teacher taught you while we had work that the brain you will give it out when this Assessment began. And also you have to focus because this Assessment we finish buy the end of this year but we almost finish school for this year.  What I know was that solving fraction, decimal and division is not easy but if you try your best you will do it. 

But I'm sorry I haven't finish my work I have no picture of myself refer to this blog..

Today I'm going to reflect about what we do in Maths this week . On the first day we did a Maths we were being working on our sheet paper that my teacher give to us when we first learn or convert about decimal . Then the other day we do Maths  it was our quiz day I didn't know that today is our quiz day ,I mean that day when we do the quiz .I had a something interesting when we do the quiz and it was solving decimal because there are some problem number comes like this ( 12.34 + 453.9 ) that is not the number that comes in the quiz but that is just an example for  how the number look like ,and do you know that when you solve a decimal number like that and you solve it without a decimal point you work it like this ⮞

• 12.34 + 453.9
• 1234 + 4539     ( forget about the point .) 
• = 5803 ( but this is not the real answer , but first you have to put back the point .)
• 5803. ( the point is behind the 3 , so you can have your way behind the 5 ) 
• Answer  ⮞ 5.803 . 
• The reason why I pull the decimal point behind the five because you have to count how many number are at the back of a decimal point, now we know that their are three digit number are at the back of the decimal point in the two decimal numbers then you move the point to the  left side of a number (←)  .  If you do it then you know the answer and that all you going to do .

What I found challenging about our Maths quiz is that reminds me with these strategies because this is the another strategy that my teacher in Samoan educator us when I was their in Samoan   . What I enjoy about this  because when I was dong the test I was day dreaming on my family at Samoan and when I was thinking about my family at Samoan I was also thinking about my school and that reminds me of  something that my teacher in Samoan taught us . So that is how I do the test  ,
