Peeling the onion.

WAL- Read a novel and discuss with your partner what the novel about.

Yesterday we have to present our project paste on our novels that we red. On the first day of our project we have to pick a novel and read, for me I picked these good novel call "PEELING THE ONION". While we're doing our project I almost give up because I thought it's complicated and also it's a project you can't do it by yourself, so one of my friend decided to work with me.

Doing this task or focus on the task makes me happy and confident. I know I didn't finish reading the book because I was trying to understand some of the word but my teacher said to explain what you know so far. When I get back home I went on my sister's notebook and started doing my work without the internet. 

Thanks to my family and my friends who inspire me and they believe in me so I try harder and harder. To be honest I'm not interesting in reading books so I try my best to focus on the task and read more so that I can understand what the novel is about.

OTHER SIDE AND THE TOP 

Hello everyone last week we had wood tech on tuesday. I know that you are confused of what Wood tech mean but anyways Wood tech is the same as we call in Tamaki Hard Materials but here is Wood technology in longest form. In wood tech we were making pencil box and has the same instruction to everyone who get to build this option. I made this pencil box special for my mom because it mother's day coming up and that alI can think off.

What I found challenging was decorating my pencil, while I was decorating my pencil box I was worry because I might messed up and I might accidently damage my pencil box. I also worried about that wood burning pencil (not sure) because of the wood burn pencil you can draw and write anything you want on your pencil box but I was afraid I might burn my pencil box like, ruin my pencil box. 

What I enjoy was making or building my pencil box.

Hauora

WALA- The 4 Walls

Today I make a metaphor that represents my Hauora I choose a Flag for my metaphor. I found this art task easy because I understand what hauora is and how to do it and also how to create a Hauora.
This is what I create for my hauora.

 

I represent the Taha Whanau for the Pole because they always stand up for me.

And I represent Taha Wairua for the red color because is the blood of Jesus.

And I represent Taha Tinana for the blue color because is the color of the sport.

And I represent Taha Hingerao for white color because it can relate to your emotion. 

That is my hauora.

WALT; Reflect about 2018.

Half of the year I came to a school named Tamaki Primary, in Tamaki Primary i was part of the Kia Manawanui Syndicate. The three words that I can describe was working together, being part of the team and love. I was achieve on the goal Maths, cause Maths has the most easiest subject that I know. In learning my favourite subject was Maths I was working so hard to understand how to solve problem and answering question. This year I discover how to work together has a team and being responsibility in this year. I learn how to be part of a team and being helpful and work together.

 I really enjoy when we have a trip to go too and also when we do P.E but I like trip the most. The fun trip I go to was Parakai Spring cause other trip is about learning and this trip is about spending the last year for the year 8. I also saw how team work they've done while we went on our trip. In this half year I've got lot of friends while we the year has been on and the most people that I always spend time with was Kensington, Akih, Coralee and Carra, cause they're my real best friend. The biggest Positive in my life was working together has a nice time. 

The reason why I always talk about working together has a Team was that these year is all about team. That why I mention this word over and over again.

Kia ora and here is my blog for this last week in school and this year. Last week we change the title of the reading ,and the title is Turning old into new. We have been learning so hard to finish up our work for this term before the end of this year. While we do this I was the one who was working on the definition and the example of the task. Here's the Task  all of our class has been working on the slide 10, 11 & 13 . So I decided to work with Akih and she pick me to work on the slide 10 then I try my best to work of how she said.

What I found challenging was that being focus on the task that has been given you will finish early. I learn that renewable is like changing a recycle into new. and nonrenewable was something that can be renewable but can't renewable again.

Persuasive and argument

Forming Opinion.

WALA - The important of forming a Opinion /having belief.

Talofa lava and welcome back to my blog. Today we learnt to how we could show debate and having different types of opinions. When we had a discussion I feel like people were getting confidence of what our teacher has been ask. During this task I feel like I'm getting better by against people from their opinion. 

The first opinion that our class has been arguing for was, Student should compulsory learn Te Reo> I think I agree with the statement because your in New Zealand and the National language of New Zealand is Maori and also is not fair if your from the other country and Maori people visit to your country and they didn't want to learn your National language well that will be not good to your country that why we need to learn Te Reo language and also that why I agree.

My another statement, Animals should not be kept in zoos? I think I disagree with the statement cause if animals not in the zoo well they will eat us obviously only if they bite and also do you know if their are animals that are Predator they could also eat other animals that can not fit on the zoo that kind of animals that are predator.

What I found challenging was that arguing with other people will help us for the future when for example if you a fight about someone that going to a jail and also if you're a lawyer. What I enjoy when Kaleb was arguing with his own opinion but all of us disagree of what his saying everyone was ignore him but I like how he arguing with his Opinion But the statement was about student should allowed to drive car in age of 10 But he agree.

Life Education.

Life Education

WALT- learn difference part of your body and see why part of the body are important .

This week we had been working on the Life education. It was so fun and so important to all of us because some of us don't know the meaning why Life education do this.  The important why Life education was to make sure your life is healthy. Well my understanding about part of your body is not too good but when I study or go to the Life education company actually is not a company but I don't know what it call, anyways when I first study at the Life education I learn new thing that I didn't know before.Here are some new things that I've know when I was their, What I know now that I didn't know before was that our stomach is on the left of the upper abdomen, also I learn much more than I thought which the vertebrate behind your back when someone x-ray you can see a straight length behind your back that go straight all the way to the end. 

These is the where the liver located in your body.                   

Also the other thing I've learned was that liver is sorting all your food that you eat for the day not only that liver is also another important part of your not only sorting   food also it can help or to make sure that your body is okay and take unhealthy food out of your body. My last thing that come up to my mind was brain the brain is also an another important part of your body that when you know something the brain can make connect together so you can know better than you know before, also the brain can also tells you what to do isn't that crazy I know too but when the teacher told us that when your brain taught us what to do I understand that time. 

These is an example of a brain trying to connect together .

What I found challenging about these lessin what that learning new thing will improve your learning and I didn't know that the brain told the body what to do, and I know that liver can  sort thing out like food we eat.  That's not all of it but that's just a all so that I can't fit in my blog.

Athletic Reflection.

Athletic Reflection.

WALT: Write a reflection about what we did!

Hello and welcome to my blog and today we have to reflect about how Athletes go and how does it feel on that day. On Friday the sixteenth of November our school has lot of fun because that day our school has a Athletic day. On that day the day we have to focus on our game. This event happen in our school which is Tamaki Primary School field. I would like to say thank you to all the teacher who create lot of incredible things for this day and play some music for and that teacher is Caleb.

The game that  enjoy during the Field event was Discuss and shot put the reason why because this game when we had a practise on the other day I feel like this game is so difficult and boring the reason why is difficult because I can't hold the ball still and being serious because this ball is too heavy and the discus ball is not look like a ball and it's actually the same as the shot up balland difference holding and difference throwing. The discus ball you hold it like this you put your hand under the discus ball and hold the ball on the side and you put your hand by your leg and try to make a space then you turn you body and throw. But the shot put is difference from the first one because shot put ball you put the ball by your ear and point your hand straight and twist your body and the hand with the ball so that the leg you should move back and then you throw it .

What I enjoy was racing and the reason why I enjoy it because I try my best to do it and put all my strength in to it and also the other thing I enjoy was that Kensington was putting a lot of effort when he was racing on that day. What I found challenging was that putting a lot effort for what you done you will do it well and great. When we do the Athletic I was trying to showed the school values for being a good girl and also showing school will make your house a lot of point. I also showed the school values by picking up the rubbish and encourage my team when we the racing start. The reason why we need to do the Athletic so that we can have a protection for our body and also Athletic I think that Athletic is the event that make us happy and show how hard your are and how more energy you have for this event coming up. One thing that I don't like it but not really don't like was that we failed but I'm good but not only we lost but we still have happiness.

What is Console

Technological word.

WALT; find or own piece of technology and search for some information .

Yesterday we were working on our Inquiry. This is my first time working with difference people which is Kensington and Aletheia .Well we choose console for our technology .When I first work with them I feel like I know how to work has a team .Well what mean is that when the first time I started I feel not good I stuck on the other question my friend Kensington help me also Aletheia .

Kiwi sport

WALT: train how to play football 

Today's blog is about .....

Football 

Today is our first day at the kiwi sport for this term because last term our kiwi sport is about Boxing but now on is Football . When we were their at the hall where the two boys which our the coach were I was so nervous because I don't know how to play this game . But then when they explain it what is it I wasn't nervous anymore or shy .But the first thing we did was he told us how to hold the ball . So the first finger which is the thumb finger you put the thumb finger behind or on the side where the white laser weren't there and put your other finger in front or on the white laser of the football . When you throw the ball make sure your right hand is high not too high and when you throw the ball your index finger will be pointed of where you've throw the ball .

What I found challenging of how to throw the ball and also the rules when your playing football . The rules of this game is almost the same as the netball rules .

• You can't fun with the ball 
• You have to make sure all the member of your team need o touch the ball before you put the ball to the score . ( I forgot the other rules )

What I was jealous of because the first group went out to play with but us we had a practise at the hall without going outside .Anyways it was all goods . Well that is mt blog for today and thank you .

What is a Bio Security ?                                                         

  Bio Security is a company that protects us from  pests diseases, infections and viruses. Bio Security also protects us from the illness that pets are sick of which biosecurity protects animals from diseases. Bio Security is company that also protect us from diseases and things from overseas they check all of that object before it comes in our country .   

Why is it important to protect our environment?

The other reason because when some things that just came in our country and without knowing it will spread out and it if spread out we will obviously we will sick .

For example influenza - influenza is a disease which is spread out and it will spread out and it will make us sick . That why it is important to protect our environment

Explain 2 different types of technology that is used in the biosecurity world ?

First example of a technology that biosecurity use is x-ray machine -When you enter the country from overseas , your bags are checked by an X-ray machine .X-ray are similar to light rays because both are forms of electromagnetic energy.

Second example is Herbicide- Herbicide are also used to kill weeds. They are poison that are sprayed on, painted on , and even injected in to weeds , but it's a expensive work . Spraying gorse from a helicopter can cost over $800 per hectare ! Touching ,tasting and breathing herbicide can be harmful to people .

Our trip at Te Tuhi art gallery

Today is the fourth day learning about abstract art and today is a difference learning about new things about Abstract Art. Today we went to Te Tuhi gallery and I can tell you how nice and how important was Te Tuhi gallery is . The important of Te Tuhi gallery is help us about technological that people in the past used like camera .What I've learn from this lesson I've learn so much more but one thing don't angry if it to long .I've learn pieces of technology that people use to make abstract art ,another thing I've how people in Africa I'm not sure about the country and how people in Africa  build their own company to improve their country and also they build their company to make children food . Another thing I've learn was at the JESUS side like that is not the named of the room but I called it JESUS because only the named of JESUS in it and the name of the girl who create it . The named of the girl who create JESUS was Jasmine and I'm sorry I don't know the her last name . She make JESUS with a lot of  sugar to create this and the reason why she create it in sugar because Jasmine family they work in a sugar farm .

Now I'm going back to my Abstract Art work the connection of technology to abstract art was without the difference pieces of technology you can't make abstract art . We can make Abstract art by using shape, colour and texture to make a abstract art and also is to tear the art apart . What I found challenging was how to make a abstract art an

d how technology what so important to abstract art because without a piece of technology you can do anything and that was I said before .



How I make my Abstract art . My Abstract Art was too ugly I can tell it because when I first start I know that my abstract art will go wrong  . The colour I used for my Abstract art were red , yellow ,grey and blue , the reason why I picked red and blue because it's remind me of my culture flag that why I picked red and blue but yellow is my another favourite colour  and grey I just used it to make it four colours . This our the steps to make abstract art .

• First - Draw four difference piece of technology like T.V , laptop, calculator , and also remote controller I'm not sure about the name of the technology but it alright .
• Second -After you draw piece of technology then draw lines on your a3 paper but only four lines ,means four lines your gonna draw on your a3 paper .
• Third - After that then chose four Primary colour and that thing I told you before witch is Red ,blue ,grey and yellow.
• Fourth - When your work is done then you can dry it and that is it .

Now you learn how to make the abstract art work .

Laptop draw in Abstract Art 

Today we were just finish discussing about Abstract Art . So we're now reflecting of what we learn from the lesson . The reason why we learn about this lesson because our topic for Inquiry is Technology.All the subject should be connect to the Inquiry  topic except for Maths .When we do this lesson I've learn something important from this, how can we put real picture in fake picture or not real picture . About the abstract we use different type of art to create a abstract art,what I mean like different shapes, different line and so much more ......

What I know now about Abstract Art was that Abstract Art is look like coping the real picture and when you just draw it ,it look like the real one but their is something missing ,and that it's, colouring your drawing , but not just colour it  and you also need to make sure you choose the wright colour for your drawing .What I found challenging is how to draw a fake picture to the real image by using shapes and that was great ,,,,because I thought that drawing is just only draw but theirs something important when we were drawing that another talent thing to do to make a better future is drawing. What are we going to do next after blogging is that we're going to create a Abstract Art in google drawing .

😊😊Abstract art 😊😊

Today we had a art  and it our first time doing this for this term  also it was great . The focus of this lesson is that abstract art can be make buy shape, texture and other element of art . When I first begin our lesson I found something that I enjoy from this lesson and it's was sharing our knowledge with others and also the teacher . For me I ashamed to share my ideas in front of the class because I thought that the class will laugh at me and it also make me shy, but every time when we do our lesson I always had this feeling in me that why I can't explain my feelings when we had a discussion  ,only if they picked all the class to stand up and we share what we know and what we had in mind that the specific moment that I can't share anything I had in my mind I can spread out my idea more further  . Buy the way lets go back to our title. What I enjoy in this lesson  that I can share my thought to everybody and also my teacher , and also I can imagine what is abstract art is .Another thing that I like about abstract it is make my mind fast, like when our teacher picked us we should know what we need to say and it   a helpful way to keep your learning improved .....

What I don't like it in these lesson it me angry because our house like Tobruk's house didn't get any tokens and now I know that scary is not a good thing because theirs nothing you can have if you don't scared or shy . What I found challenging during our lesson ,when I didn't know what's abstract art look like for me who don't know how to abstract art look like ,so all we need to do is listen and learn something from others who know's how to work it out during the discussion . During this term i had a good start because it nice and also it nice to be nice and to be good friend to other . Oh! I'm mansion our explanation writing in my art side .........
